What is tinnitus?

Tinnitus or tinnitus is a perception of sound, resulting from the activity of the nervous system, without any external stimulation that produces it.
Tinnitus affects all ages and both sexes, especially between 30 and 50 years old. It affects approximately 5% of the population. And 50% of this 5% are associated with real hearing loss.

Causes of tinnitus.

There are multiple among them:
*Sound traumas
*Reduced blood flow
*Hearing loss
*Cervical problems * *Jaw tension
*Meniere’s syndrome
*Hyperthyroidism
*Depression

Types of tinnitus.

*Acute tinnitus. It is one that appears suddenly and often disappears spontaneously. It can be associated with momentary hearing loss, sometimes due to decreased blood supply to the inner ear. An improvement in blood flow improves tinnitus.

*Chronic tinnitus. It is one that lasts more than 6 months. It often leads to a complex diagnosis.
Chronic tinnitus manifests itself when the perception of noise, which is itself very faint, “triggers”. The patient becomes more and more focused on that noise and it gets louder, which causes them to pay more attention to it.
Approximately 5% of the world’s adult population suffers from chronic tinnitus. These people are at the edge of their psychological resistance and cannot sleep or work due to tinnitus.
